Event Highlights (1): Learning Design Triangle

This section gives an introduction on the “Learning Design Triangle” framework, encouraging teachers to become learning designers who apply student-centered design thinking to create meaningful learning experiences. The speaker explains the importance of applying the Learning Design Triangle in design, introduces its three components (intended learning outcomes, disciplinary practice, and pedagogical approach), and provides examples of each component that are commonly used in STEAM courses.

Event Highlights (2): “Prompt Engineering” Techniques

This section gives a summary on several “prompt engineering” techniques. Participants apply these techniques to make inquiries to the AI chatbot in the Learning Design Studio (LDS). This hands-on experience and interaction not only reinforce their understanding of how to write clear intended learning outcomes, but also encourage them to transfer what has been learnt into their own STEAM learning designs, designing self-directed learning STEAM courses that integrate elements of artificial intelligence.
